Finger Math ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting the privacy of children and parents. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Finger Math is an educational app for children ages 4–8 that uses the device camera to detect finger positions for math learning activities.
The app requests camera access solely to detect the number of fingers held up. No photos or videos are ever saved, recorded, transmitted, or uploaded. All camera processing happens entirely on-device in real time.
We collect the following data locally on your device only (never transmitted to any server):
This data is stored on your device using the operating system's secure local storage and is never shared with third parties.
Finger Math is designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is stored locally on the device and described above. No data is transmitted off the device. Parents can delete all local data at any time by tapping Reset Profile in the app's Profile screen.
The app uses MediaPipe (Google) for on-device hand detection, loaded from a public CDN. No personal data is sent to Google as part of this. The library processes camera frames locally and returns only numerical results to the app.
The app uses Apple's Text-to-Speech (flutter_tts) for reading numbers aloud. No data is transmitted externally.
You can delete all stored data at any time by tapping Profile → Reset Profile in the app, or by uninstalling the app.
All data is stored using the device's native secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android SharedPreferences). We do not operate any servers or databases.
We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version.
